Information & Media Technology

The Information and Media Technology Division had a great year. We met at ACTE in Las Vegas about creating a new Division to match ours on the National level. We are close and just have to get higher numbers to apply for a separate division from Business.

The NACTE conference this past summer at Lake Tahoe was a hit as well as Eric Preisz from Garage Games presented at our Division meeting and explained what skills employers are looking for when hiring staff in a tech firm. His company is in charge of creating curriculum for a high school level video game design class. He went into this curriculum as well and described how it matched with state standards in Video Game Design.

I look forward to another productive year going to ACTE in Nashville, NACTE in Lake Tahoe, and representing I.T. and Media teachers throughout the state of Nevada.
Thanks,
Brett
